SINGAPORE – Citi Wealth on Aug 6 announced the appointment of Ms Yeo Wenxian as its new head of wealth for South Asia, commencing on Nov 1.
The Singaporean executive is also set to be Citibank Singapore’s chief executive, after regulatory approval.
She will report to Mr Andy Sieg, Citi’s head of wealth, and join his global leadership team.
In her new role, she will oversee the bank’s retail onshore and offshore wealth management businesses. These include Citigold, Citigold Private Client and Cards in South Asia and the United Arab Emirates.
The minimum assets under management for Citigold and Citigold Private Client are $250,000 and $1.5 million, respectively.
The bank noted that the appointment comes as it builds its South Asia business and reaffirmed its commitment to one of the “fastest-growing wealth clusters globally”.
Ms Yeo spent 13 years at DBS Bank and most recently served as head of DBS Treasures Singapore, where she was responsible for its onshore and offshore businesses and clients. She was previously the local lender’s Singapore chief operating officer and a member of the strategic advisory team within its institutional banking group.
Her career started in 2000 at JPMorgan’s investment banking division, after she graduated from Brown University. THE BUSINESS TIMES
