Operations centre monitors many sites, officers, vehicles and weaponry in real time

Technology is proving a huge game-changer at security services firm Certis, even extending to ways it helps keep order at shopping malls.

Back in the (pre-tech) days, it would deploy an officer to ensure that children did not climb too high on the large animal figures outside a particular mall.
