United Overseas Bank (UOB) announced today that all of its 25,000 employees received a special package to celebrate the bank's 80th anniversary. The anniversary fell on Oct 1. Employees in Singapore each got two days of special leave and a $100 limited-edition Nets FlashPay card, and attended celebratory tea parties. Those working in the region enjoyed the leave and a stored- value card with the local equivalent of $100. Long-service employees also received a one-time cash gift pegged to their years of service. Those who have worked for 20 or more years got $400, while it's $200 for those with between 10 and 19 years of service, and $100 for staff with less than 10 years' service.
