StanChart to invest $694m in tech, digital capabilities to cater to affluent clients

SINGAPORE - Standard Chartered Bank is investing US$500 million (S$694 million) in tech and digital wealth capabilities over the next five years to boost its business catering to the region's well-heeled.

The funds will be used to enhance customer experience on the bank's platforms and develop its back-end capabilities.
