HSBC announced on Monday the opening of a new branch at Coronation Shopping Plaza (#01-04/05), along Bukit Timah Road, its 12th retail outlet in Singapore
The opening closely follows the launch of HSBC's Liat Towers Orchard flagship branch in July and, said the bank, highlights its continued investment in its retail banking and wealth management business in Singapore.
HSBC said Bukit Timah is one of the most affluent neighbourhoods in Singapore where many of its wealthy local and expatriate customers live.
It said the nearly 3,000 square feet branch will provide the best services for HSBC Premier1 and HSBC Advance2 customers to meet their international banking, investment and wealth management needs.
Said Matthew Colebrook, head of retail banking and wealth management at HSBC Singapore: "HSBC is committed to building relationships with globally-oriented and affluent customers as this is the cornerstone of our retail and wealth business. Expanding our presence in prime locations is a significant part of this strategy."
In addition to transactional facilities, the new branch also features the Digital Hub, which aims to meet the needs of tech-savvy customers. Piloted at the Liat Towers Orchard branch, the Digital Hub is a dedicated area within HSBC branches that are equipped with mobile devices and computers that enable customers to experience a wide range of e-banking services first-hand.
HSBC also said it will be upgrading its existing branches in Marine Parade and Holland Village from this month.
