SINGAPORE - Fans of The Lord of the Rings well know that Gandalf is a powerful wizard who rose from the dead but the name is also an acronym that spells out a club of technology giants that DBS Bank is striving to join.
Most of the acronym is easily worked out: Google, Amazon, Netflix, Apple, LinkedIn, Facebook. The D is missing, of course, but that is where DBS wants to fit in.
