Baker Tech's Q4 earnings get boost from productivity and forex gains

Higher margins from productivity improvements and foreign exchange gains lifted fourth quarter net profit by 340 per cent at Baker Technology.

Earnings came in at $4.187 million, from $952,000 a year ago.

Revenue fell 6 per cent to $15.38 million.

Full-year earnings fell 73 per cent to $22.373 million as revenue dropped 15 per cent to $83.299 million.

Earnings per share for the year were 2.69 cents, from 11.54 cents in the previous year, while net asset value per share were 27.5 cents at Dec 31, from 36.4 cents a year ago.

A final dividend of one cent per share and special dividend of four cents were declared.

A final dividend of 1.5 cents and special dividend of 8.5 cents was paid out for the previous financial year.
