To have a conversation with Manny Maceda is to relive a bit of Philippine - and Asian - history.

In August 1983, the future head of Bain & Company went with his politician-father in two cars ferrying Benigno Aquino Jr from his Chestnut Hill home in Boston to Logan International Airport. The bespectacled Philippine opposition figure was returning from exile in the United States to challenge the Marcos dictatorship.
