SINGAPORE - More interest rate hikes are not off the table and the United States Federal Reserve could do multiple tightenings in the months ahead, possibly at an aggressive pace, its chair Jerome Powell hinted last week.
“We believe there’s more restriction coming,” Mr Powell said at a monetary policy forum in Portugal. “What’s really driving it… is a very strong labour market.”
