Jitsiree Thongnoi began her journalism career in 2005 as a reporter for Thailand Outlook Channel covering the dramatic downfall of then premier Thaksin Shinawatra and the 2006 military coup. After three years, she left the media for a stint in academia, before returning in 2014 to write for the Bangkok Post. Jitsiree holds a master degree in English literature from Bangkok's Thammasat University and dreams of being a playwright someday.
