Ai-Lien is associate news editor at The Straits Times and is in charge of its science, health, environment and technology cluster. A veteran journalist, she co-led ST’s Covid-19 task force, which reported on all aspects of the pandemic over four years. She has contributed to books on Singapore’s biodiversity, bioethics and Covid-19 response, as well as national initiatives in bioethics, genetic modification, mental health, science education and public hygiene.
