Why Asean must be wary of the Chinese tourist 'weapon'

Asean member states must take note as trade tensions grow and China hints that it could well "weaponise" rare earths, restricting if not ending their export to the United States.

While it might be rare earths today, it could well be Chinese tourists who are "weaponised" tomorrow. Such a move will upset those South-east Asian economies and businesses ever more reliant on Chinese spending.
