US State Secretary Kerry arrives in Beijing for talks

BEIJING - US Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Beijing to kick off his China visit, Xinhua news agency reported on Saturday.

Mr Kerry, who flew in from Seoul, will hold talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and meet China's new president, Mr Xi Jinping.

China is the second leg of Mr Kerry's four-day East Asia trip. He will fly to Japan on Sunday.
