WASHINGTON - Continuing protests by farmers against deregulation and exposure to market forces and corporations, pose the biggest challenge so far to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi almost two years into his second term.
"There is a huge trust deficit. The farmers have a point, they are not comfortable with big corporations coming in" Nirmala Ganapathy, Straits Times India Bureau Chief told Asian Insider, ST's weekly video and podcast.
