SEOUL - South Korea’s industry minister pressed US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick for favourable treatment on tariffs at their second meeting in less than a month, the ministry said on March 22, as Seoul seeks to blunt the effect of US President Donald Trump’s measures
Mr Ahn Duk-geun met with Mr Lutnick on March 21, three weeks after their first meeting in late February.
Mr Ahn emphasised the need for the US’ favourable treatment of South Korea
Both countries agreed to continue to discuss major issues, including tariff measures, the ministry said in a statement. REUTERS
