Mr Ahn Duk-geun met with Mr Lutnick on March 21, three weeks after their first meeting in late February.

Mr Ahn emphasised the need for the US’ favourable

treatment of South Korea

in the US tariff plan, including those expected to be announced on April 2, due to the tightly bound nature of the two nations’ economies and industries.

Both countries agreed to continue to discuss major issues, including tariff measures, the ministry said in a statement. REUTERS
