Rape in India: Woman recounts sister's painful ordeal

A woman who was burned alive by her rapists and a rape victim who set herself on fire to protest police inaction have shone a spotlight on Unnao in India and how rural parts of the country are affected by the rape of its women.

UNNAO (Uttar Pradesh) • In a sparse mud hut, a 24-year-old woman sits with her face covered, trying to rein in her emotions.

It is hard for her to recount the death of her 21-year-old sister, who was set on fire by her alleged rapists just a short distance from their house.
