GALLE (Sri Lanka) - The Russian invasion of Ukraine will deliver yet another painful blow to Sri Lanka's vital tourism sector, already decimated by the Covid-19 pandemic, which followed a massive terrorist strike on the island.

The Russian assault on Ukraine led to mass cancellations of tourist bookings from the two countries that counted for a quarter of arrivals to Sri Lanka since October.
