Supporters say move by Indian state will encourage abusers to seek treatment

The eastern Indian state of Sikkim has declared that it will decriminalise abuse of prescription drugs.

The move is an effort to reduce the stigma associated with drug abuse, something its proponents say will encourage the abusers to step out and seek treatment.
