World Focus: Plastic ban only as good as enforcement, says green activist

In the city of Mumbai, a 310-strong plastic eradication squad has been conducting raids at numerous shops and restaurants since a ban on single-use plastics kicked in more than a month ago.

Dressed in blue to symbolise the colour of the ocean, these municipal officers are on the lookout for offenders in the capital city of the state of Maharashtra.
