Pakistan, China have most to gain from Taleban's return to power

The Taleban's return to power in Afghanistan is a big win for Pakistan, as well as a net gain for China, but a loss for India, say Asia analysts.

"The sudden, surreal, collapse of the Afghan state… is a strategic shock to the subcontinent," Dr Avinash Paliwal, who teaches at the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies, wrote this week.
