New Delhi dust storm wreaks havoc

India's meteorological department yesterday issued a fresh warning of a thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds in the national capital and its outskirts.

The advisory came hours after a massive dust storm hit New Delhi and the surrounding region yesterday at around 3am, uprooting trees and disrupting power supply.

India's state-run broadcaster All India Radio quoted police as saying that an 18-year-old man was killed and 13 people were injured in the dust storm.
