Imran Khan wins plaudits for diplomatic approach

There has been a growing call from the Pakistani Prime Minister's fans online for him to win the Nobel Peace Prize in helping to avert all-out war between India and Pakistan, South Asia's nuclear-armed neighbours.

Mr Imran Khan, 66, has been praised for the statesmanship shown in freeing an Indian pilot captured by his country. His offer followed his call for dialogue, and came just a day after tit-for-tat cross-border strikes between the two countries had the world on edge.
