Indian toys makers get global attention, raising export volume

NEW DELHI - Two years ago, wooden toy maker Naresh Kumar Gautam would intermittently get one or two inquiries from foreign buyers about his products, which range from educational toys to dollhouses.

Now, dozens of international companies, including giants such as Swedish furniture maker Ikea and American toy manufacturer Melissa and Doug, are keen to source from his company amid global efforts to diversify the supply chain from China following Covid-19 disruptions.
