Envoys seek to calm concerns of EU states over issues such as citizenship law, Kashmir

India's internal policies ranging from the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) to the developments in Kashmir are proving to be among its diplomatic challenges.

The South Asian country mounted a diplomatic offensive in Brussels over the last couple of days to blunt a resolution against the CAA in the European Parliament. The resolution was brought by different groups of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), who called the CAA discriminatory and wanted it repealed.
