NEW DELHI - The recent outbreak of intense fighting between rebel groups and Myanmar’s military close to the India-Myanmar border has seen thousands of Myanmar nationals pour into India seeking safety, including dozens of the junta’s soldiers.
The soldiers were escaping Chin rebels who had swarmed their camps in Myanmar’s Chin State, which lies on the other side of the border from the Indian state of Mizoram.
