India boosts presence in West Africa

India is strengthening its presence in Africa by stepping up its engagement with hitherto overlooked countries in the western part of the continent.

President Ramnath Kovind just concluded a tour of Benin, Gambia and Guinea. It was the first visit to these West African nations by an Indian president.
