Former minister of finance and corporate affairs Arun Jaitley, who had been in ill health for some time, died in a New Delhi hospital on Aug 24, two weeks after he was admitted with breathing difficulties.

NEW DELHI - Mr Arun Jaitley was never considered a leader of the masses. Yet his death leaves behind behind a big void for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian government.
Mr Jaitley, 66, who had been in ill health for some time, died in a New Delhi hospital last Saturday (Aug 24), two weeks after he was admitted with breathing difficulties.
