Sri Lankan volunteers placing sandbags to protect a road from floodwaters at Ja Ela, near the capital Colombo, over the weekend. Monsoon rains have started in Sri Lanka, bringing floods to many parts of the island. According to the government's disaster management centre, at least 20 people have died and more than 120,000 people are affected so far.
