NEW DELHI - Weddings in north India are incomplete without the usual pomp and show of a brass band that leads the groom, his family and friends in their festive procession to the bride’s house on the wedding day.
But when a few wedding drummers were playing outside Mr Anil Kumar’s house in Kanpur, a city in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, on April 28, there was no groom in sight.
