NEW DELHI - Professor Satya Chakravarthy works out of a five-storey building, heading the world's largest combustion research centre.

Over the years, the National Centre for Combustion Research and Development (NCCRD), situated at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, has drawn millions of dollars in investment, including for the several start-ups it houses.
