American actress Angelina Jolie and Myanmar's opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi arriving at a slum area in the Hlaing Thar Yar township in Yangon yesterday. The Oscar-winning star, who is on a six-day visit to Myanmar as the goodwill ambassador for the United Nations refugee agency UNHCR, is working with the British Embassy as part of the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative. She also met President Thein Sein in the capital Naypyidaw, before heading to Kachin state in the north, where civil war has raged since 2011 and has displaced some 100,000 people.
