Ministers to discuss search for MH370

Transport ministers from Australia, China and Malaysia will meet today in Malaysia's administrative capital Putrajaya to discuss the future of the deep-sea search for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, missing since March 2014. The expensive high-tech sonar operation is being conducted in the remote Indian Ocean far off Western Australia. Malaysia's Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai and his Chinese counterpart Yang Chuantang will be present.


Celebration of Indian art and culture

The Indian Heritage Centre CultureFest is returning for a second edition. A celebration of Indian art and culture, the event will take place in Little India today and tomorrow, and next Friday and Saturday. It will feature music and dance performances, art and museum tours.


URA to release Q2 property data

The Urban Redevelopment Authority will today release statistics for the residential and commercial property markets for the second quarter. According to earlier estimates, private home prices fell in the three months to June 30 for an 11th straight quarter, with a 0.4 per cent decline from the first quarter.

Overall prices were dragged down by the suburbs, where prices of non-landed homes fell 0.7 per cent according to estimates.
