Umno delegates' meeting starts

Umno delegates will begin meeting from today to Aug 26, most likely for the last time before the next general election in Malaysia.

In a tweet yesterday, Prime Minister Najib Razak called on party leaders to "prepare the machinery and line up strategies" for the polls, which must take place by August next year.


Awards for Yellow Ribbon volunteers

The Yellow Ribbon Community Project and Awards will be held today to recognise the contributions of volunteers in the programme.

The project is a grassroots initiative aimed at providing support to the families of offenders, including linking them up with relevant social support networks.


NUS Law's commencement event

The National University of Singapore's Faculty of Law, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, is holding its commencement ceremony today. Senior Counsel V.K. Rajah, a former Court of Appeal judge, will be the guest speaker.
