Najib's stepson to be queried over 1MDB

Former Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak's stepson, Mr Riza Aziz, has been summoned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to give a statement in connection with the financial scandal over state investment fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

An MACC source said Mr Riza is expected at the commission's headquarters today.

Campaign to encourage kindness

The Singapore Kindness Movement is launching its Be Greater Campaign today.

The campaign aims to get Singaporeans to commit and initiate purposeful and sustainable acts of kindness.

Australia's central bank meets today

The Reserve Bank of Australia will hold its monthly meeting today.

Economists have been almost unanimous in calling for "no change" in the country's interest rate. Australia's central bank left its cash rate unchanged at 1.5 per cent last month, as widely expected.
