Najib to be charged over 1MDB scandal

A task force investigating the scandal-hit state fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) said former Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak will be charged in court today at 8.30am in relation to a probe into SRC International, a former unit of 1MDB.

Datuk Seri Najib, who has previously denied wrongdoing, was taken into custody yesterday at his residence in Langgak Duta, Kuala Lumpur.


Innovation Day at SPH

Singapore Press Holdings is holding an Innovation Day today. Participants will present their experiences so far working on projects that aim to transform the company into an innovative organisation.


Major economies to release PMI data

A slew of economic data on services purchasing managers' index (PMI) for June from the major economies will be out today.

Japan will be releasing its services PMI in the morning. This will be followed by China's Caixin services PMI, as well as the euro zone's and the UK's Markit services PMI.
