A Singaporean terrorist serving an 18-year jail term in Indonesia has expressed remorse, cancelled his pledge of allegiance to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) ideology and promised to not repeat any act of violence.

Mohammad Hassan Saynudin, a former associate of terrorist leader Mas Selamat Kastari, recently appeared in a 2 1/2-minute video reading a statement of guilt at the Nusakambangan prison island in Central Java province, where he is serving his sentence.
