Two sons of revered preacher Nik Aziz Nik Mat, who died in 2015, are fighting over his legacy in a contest that could have big implications for political Islam in Malaysia.

Datuk Nik Aziz's eldest son Nik Omar, 53, is contesting under the opposition Pakatan Harapan (PH) banner in Chempaka, the state seat of the late preacher.
