A Singaporean man who entered Malaysia via the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link in Gelang Patah on Aug 15 has been reported missing.

According to Malaysian media, Mr Ow Xie En Nathan, 25, entered the country at around 11am and had not been heard from since.

Iskandar Puteri police chief Noor Hashim Mohamad said on Sunday (Aug 21) that Malaysian police received a report from Mr Ow's mother at the Tanjung Kupang police station in Gelang Patah.

He said in a statement: "In her report, the Singaporean woman said she had lodged a police report in Singapore that her son who left home on Aug 15, could not be contacted."

A black and white photo of a bespectacled Mr Ow wearing a cap was posted on Berita Harian Online.

Initial investigations revealed that Mr Ow took public transport as he did not have a driving licence, the Malay Mail reported.

Malaysian police are urging those with information on Mr Ow's whereabouts can contact investigating officer, Sub-Inspector Abdul Aziz Ahmad, on +60 07-5114222.
