Singapore reiterates commitment to strengthening relations with Indonesia

JAKARTA - Singapore Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law K Shanmugam, who is on a visit to Jakarta, paid a courtesy call on Indonesian Vice-President Jusuf Kalla on Tuesday.

They reaffirmed the strong relations between both countries at all levels, Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said in a statement.

Mr Shanmugam reiterated Singapore's commitment to strengthening the mutually beneficial bilateral relationship with President Joko Widodo's government, said the MFA statement.

Both sides also discussed economic developments and investment opportunities in Indonesia, according to the statement.

Mr Shanmugam is in Jakarta for a two-day visit which ends on Tuesday.
