Foreign domestic workers from the Philippines and Indonesia at a rally in Hong Kong yesterday to protest comments by Ms Eunice Yung, a Hong Kong Legislative Councillor from the New People's Party. Earlier in the week, in the Legislative Council, Ms Yung had called on the government to find places for domestic helpers to gather on their days off so that they would not cause an environmental hygiene nuisance to other people and clog up public spaces. She later apologised to representatives of rights group Asian Migrants Coordinating Body, saying that she regretted if any of her remarks had caused offence.
