Philippine opposition faces obscurity amid drubbing in midterm polls

MANILA - The midterm elections last week were a complete rout for the opposition. None of its candidates won and it is now down to just four senators in the 24-member Senate.

One of them is in jail for what she says are trumped up charges, and is unable to vote.
