The much-awaited construction of Patimban Port in Subang, West Java, is a good sign of the progress of Indonesian President Joko Widodo's infrastructure push.

Construction of the new port, which starts next month, will help South-east Asia's largest economy further improve its longstanding poor record for logistics. Indonesia surged by 17 places to come in at No. 46 among 160 countries in the latest World Bank's Logistics Performance Index 2018.
