(REUTERS) - Patience, monkey! It'll be all right.
The Thai authorities have relocated some 80 long-tailed macaques on the outskirts of Bangkok.
Because the villagers say they were being overrun by them... and say there's only so much monkey-business one can take.
Also released -- two orphaned bear cubs. Officials say they'll live out the rest of their lives in the wilds of western Russia.
Fourteen more bear cubs are set to be released in the coming days -- after being raised and rehabilitated by an animal protection group.
It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it!
It's official -- the panda cub born last month at Washington, DC's National Zoo has a name.
First Lady Michelle Obama and Madame Peng Liyuan of China unveiled the name "Bei Bei" meaning "precious treasure." His name compliments his older sister "Bao Bao" and his father "Tian Tian."
Maybe one day he'll be eating bamboo bread like this elderly bloke at the San Diego Zoo.
Staff say his teeth are starting to wear down... and this delicacy of bamboo and biscuits is keeping him healthy -- and full in the belly.
