Malaysian PM Najib Razak chairs meeting of Barisan Nasional Supreme Council

KUALA LUMPUR (BERNAMA) - Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak on Friday (Sept 8) chaired a meeting of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition's Supreme Council meeting in Kuala Lumpur.

Datuk Seri Najib, who is Umno president and BN chairman, arrived for the meeting at 3.30 pm and was greeted by the leaders of the BN component parties.

BN's deputy chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and its secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor were also present at the meeting.

The president of the Malaysian Indian Congress S. Subramaniam, the Malaysian Chinese Association president Liow Tiong Lai, Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong, Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah president Joseph Kurup as well as MyPPP president M. Kayveas also attended.

Najib is expected to hold a press conference after the meeting.
