Malaysia seizes 16 luxury cars in raid, some bearing Singapore registration numbers

PETALING JAYA (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Sixteen luxury cars of various brands were seized during a raid at Bandar Country Homes, Rawang.

A team of Customs officers investigating a case of suspected tax evasion arrived at a double-storey house at around 3pm on Friday and uncovered the foreign cars, comprising brands such as Mazda, Audi and Honda, that were still bearing Singaporean registration numbers.

It is believed that the ground floor of the house was used for storage while the upper floor was used as living space.

It is also believed that foreign cars were modified in the area before being re-registered locally.
