JOHOR BAHRU – The Johor police are calling up the individuals involved in the brawl at the Causeway to help with investigations.
Johor Bahru southern district chief assistant commissioner Raub Selamat said the police were notified about the incident after a video of the fight went viral on social media on Feb 14.
“We are actively investigating the incident to identify those involved, locate witnesses, and determine the cause of the altercation,” he said in a statement on Feb 15.
He added that members of the public with any relevant information are urged to contact the police hotline at (+60)7 2182323 to assist in the investigation.
Earlier, a one-minute video was uploaded by a Facebook user under the name “Fandyjunas” showing two men fighting on a busy road.
The video, recorded by a lorry driver, shows the men stopping their multi-purpose vehicles on the road before getting into a verbal altercation which ended up with a physical fight. Other road users can also be seen stepping in to break up the fight.
