Jailed terrorist Abu Bakar Bashir in hospital briefly due to swollen feet

JAKARTA - Convicted terrorist Abu Bakar Bashir was briefly hospitalised yesterday after apparently suffering swollen feet. 

The sickly 80-year-old radical cleric is currently serving a 15-year jail sentence in Gunung Sindur prison, outside Jakarta, for his role in helping to fund a paramilitary training camp for militants in Aceh.
