Indonesia's most valuable start-up with US$10 billion (S$13.3 billion) valuation, Gojek was founded by Indonesian entrepreneur Nadiem Makarim in 2010 as a call centre to connect motorbike taxi drivers and passengers before transforming into a ride-hailing application in 2015.

It has diversified to offer various services such as food delivery, e-wallet, online shopping and investments.
