JAKARTA – Indonesia’s chairmanship of Asean in 2023 stands out for steering the bloc through a challenging geopolitical landscape, experts told The Straits Times, with the archipelago making efforts to bolster unity among members.
But with limited progress made on longstanding issues, Asean must keep the momentum going to ensure it continues to be in the driver’s seat to shape the region’s outcomes, they added.
