Said Equanimity Cayman in its court notice: "For a group of Malaysian and INP officials to have not only usurped the judiciary of Indonesia, but to have also blatantly reversed course on the INP's own prior decree, illustrated the sheer, unabashed degree to which Prime Minister Mahathir (Mohamad) and the Malaysian government are willing to exert wholly political, extrajudicial pressure in legal proceedings."
INP chief Tito Karnavian said on Tuesday that Indonesian police had the authority to confiscate the yacht at the request of his Malaysian counterpart.
